If you’re reading this because you’ve chosen to SERVE in Thunder Bay this summer, then congratulations!! Thunder Bay has lots to offer. The weather in July is typically sunny and dry, with temperatures that are perfect for working and relaxing. Our work sites are interesting and purposeful, and will give both opportunities to sweat and to connect with people. The day away gives a rest and relaxation option on a beach, or the chance to cycle/hike some amazing trails, and capture photos from atop a 700+ foot cliff!! Accommodations, meals and showers are all on-site at the local Christian School, and evening gathering and small-group time are right next door.
The sites, the sounds, the experiences that await, will be both authentic and enjoyable. How do I know this?
I’m Brian Schenk, your host team co-ordinator, and I’ve lived here for 24 years. I’ve savoured all of these experiences several times, and along with my host team, I’m looking forward to meeting you, and working to make your SERVE experience in Thunder Bay a memorable one. Even though we haven’t met you, we’re praying for you and trusting that God is shaping you for great things!
Carpe diem and we’ll see you in July!
